Provider of 3D design productivity products to distribute engineering software that provides simulation-based design.

IronCAD, a provider of 3D design productivity products, is to distribute ESI Group's engineering software that provides simulation-based design.

ESI Group's CFD-Cadalyzer, a coupled design analysis tool for computational fluid dynamics (CFD) in the CAE market, will extend simulation-based design capabilities for IronCAD customers worldwide.

CFD is used by designers and engineers in the fields of electronics cooling, heat transfer, aerodynamics and HVAC.

Product designers and engineers can use CFD-Cadalyzer to improve dynamically their designs, providing and supporting multiple iterations in the design loop before prototyping.

IronCAD's design flexibility for allowing changes and multiple iterations provides a fit for users wanting to perform CFD analysis in the design using the CFD-Cadalyzer.

"CFD-Cadalyzer is intuitive, easy to use software, and provides a level of functionality that is comparable to high-end CFD products", said Don Gillikin, Senior Business Development Manager for CFD-Cadalyzer.

"Designers not experienced in traditional CFD can use CFD-Cadalyzer while still in the initial design phase to obtain flow simulation results".

"Combining this with IronCAD's unprecedented flexibility for working with 3D models in the conceptualisation phase, allows quick iterations between the design, analysis and change paridigm, thus shortening the overall design cycle time".

Frank Hood, IronCAD's North American Sales Manager, said: "We are glad to offer extended simulation-based design capabilities through this partnership with ESI Group to our customers".

"Using this, companies can reduce costly prototypes and can realise an increase in productivity and reduction in costs - both very important in today's world".
