ISA, The Instrumentation, Systems, and Automation Society announces the first Instrumentation, Systems, and Automation European Conference and Exhibition.

ISA-The Instrumentation, Systems, and Automation Society announces the first Instrumentation, Systems, and Automation European Conference and Exhibition.

This premiere event is scheduled for 10-11 October 2001 at the Bretby Conference Centre in Burton upon Trent, Straffordshire.

Organised by ISA, in cooperation with the ISA UK Section, and with support from GAMBICA-the Association for Instrumentation, Control, Automation, and the Institute of Measurement and Control, this event consists of four conference sessions running parallel each day, plus a two-day exhibition featuring some 70 leading technical products and service providers.

The exhibition is free to all registered attendees, along with a networking social cocktail and buffet.

The technical conference will cover industry-significant topics such as IPPC, fieldbus, safety, gas detection, contract risk, humidity measurement, industrial weighing, intelligent transmitters, and acutators.

Registered attendees will be offered one-on-one interaction with industry experts to discuss real-world solutions and applications.

The conference will also feature a special symposium on Industrial Ethernet technology and the latest developments for utilising this technology in today's manufacturing operations.

Exhibition hours are 09.30 - 21.00 hours on Wednesday, 10 October and09.30 - 15.30 hours on Thursday, 11 October ISA Executive Director Jim Pearson said ISA is excited about the new European conference and exhibition due to the hands-on learning opportunity for all participants.

"This event will provide our international members and attendees with a venue to share information on technology and techniques that will empower them in their careers," said Pearson.

"Enhancing operating efficiency, solving engineering problems, and improving profitability in today's manufacturing environment is crucial to the success of the industries ISA serves.".
