Maintenance qualifications up for grabs
The Instrumentation, Systems, and Automation Society has announced its 2005 exam schedule for the Certified Industrial Maintenance Mechanics (CIMM) programme.
The conference and exhibition was to take place 10-11 October 2001, but the event's steering committee, made up of top United Kingdom industry and society professionals, decided in September to postpone the event.
"Due to the short-term business uncertainty caused by the terrorist attacks of 11 September on the United States, ISA along with the steering committee and event sponsors, believed it was in the best interest of our customers to reschedule the event," said ISA Executive Director Jim Pearson.
Organized by ISA, in collaboration with the ISA England Section and ISA District 12, the conference will feature sessions running parallel each day, an Industrial Ethernet Symposium, plus a two-day exhibition featuring some 70 leading technical products and service providers.
Admittance to the exhibition is free to all registered attendees, and includes a networking hospitality event with cocktails and a buffet dinner.
The technical conference will include significant industry topics and registered attendees will be offered one-on-one interaction with industry experts to discuss real-world solutions and applications.
"A very strong set of ten separate themes are in place, and very high quality presentations are already developed," said Steering Committee Chairman Michael Scott.
The ISA conference and exhibition has been created by a steering team with representatives from the regions' top companies such as: AstonDane, Bechtel, Catena Association, Deltapoint, Emerson, Endress and Hauser, GAMBICA, IML, Industrial Ethernet Book, InstM and C, KC Controls, Nobel, Norton Bower, Palmtech, Plant and Control Engineering magazine, Rotronics, Schneider Electric, and Tellima.
