A customer driven product from ITT Industries, Cannon, the M3 small motor connector is 50% lighter and has a significantly reduced installed cost when compared with conventional designs.
And simpler harnessing reduces assembly and installation time in motor applications.
Requiring minimal space, the connector comes completely sealed and shielded for high reliability.
Designed for motors with a flange size of 60 x 60cm or less, key features of the M3 connector include a high degree of vibration and shock resistance, IP67 sealing, a housing that contains a single power and three feedback insulators separated by metal shielded walls, and two sealed entries for power and feedback cables.
Specifications are 48V/5A power rating, operating voltage of 50 to 630V and current rating of 2 to 10A.
A zinc die cast shell, Fluor rubber sealing parts, high temperature insulator material and high quality contacts ensure a rugged, reliable design.
The M3 connector also meets all the requirements for DIN EN1984 safety compliance.
A rotating flange version is available with a modified Seeger ring preassembled in the housing, O-ring sealing and predefined locking positions.
The connector rotates 270 degrees in 15 degree increments.
M3 connectors enhance a variety of servomotor applications including the machine tool industry, packaging, factory automation, material handling, printing, food packaging, assembly lines, motion control, marking and labeling, robotics, production machines and laser trimming.
