An ITT Interconnect Solutions product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Jun 16, 2009

ITT Interconnect Solutions has brought out the cost-effective Powerlock Box, which utilises only 2U of rack space in a 19in rack.

The Powerlock Box offers the same sequential mating facility (ensuring ground is connected first) as the previous NRG Box.

It is offered in two versions: a fully sealed version with a lid covering the connector ports; and a standard version, which is sealed only when connectors are mated.

The Powerlock Box connects using standard Powerlock connectors.

It is available in 400 and 660A versions.

It features keyed ports for sequential mating and a lock to prevent interference.

The device is environmentally sealed to IP65.

It is IP2X finger protected and benefits from colour coding to suit regional standards.

The Powerlock Box is suitable for applications including: mobile generators, theatre and other outdoor events, theme-park rides, alternative-energy installations, dockside/riverside power plants, hospitals, factories, shops and offices.
