Tiny data loggers monitor shipments

An Isatec product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Mar 30, 2007

LogTag data loggers are ideally suited to monitor both temperature and humidity in shipping containers, cold rooms, or refrigerators.

Being able to maintain the strict environmental conditions imposed on the storage and transportation of pharmaceutical products can be a headache for logistics and manufacturing companies alike.

LogTag data loggers are capable of operating accurately at temperatures as low as -40C.

They are ideally suited to monitor both temperature and humidity in shipping containers, cold rooms, or refrigerators.

Their credit card size and light weight makes them easy to handle and simple to include in shipments or storage facilities.

A flashing light gives an immediate indication that conditions have stepped outside preset limits and further investigation is required.

The LogTag HAXO-8 is capable of recording 8000 pairs of time stamped humidity and temperature readings at a sampling frequency which is adjustable from 30 seconds to several hours.

This data can be downloaded in a few seconds to a PC by sitting the LogTag in the USB-connected docking station and using the free software package.

Any environmental transgression can then easily be pinpointed and rectified, minimising spoilt product and manufacturing costs.

LogTag data loggers have been designed for FDA 21 CFR part 11 digital signatures.

The LogTag TRIX-8 temperature logger complies with EN12830:1990 for transport, storage, and distribution of chilled, frozen, deep frozen and quick frozen products, and has been approved by the World Health Organisation.
