The TREX-8 has a measurement range of -40C to +99C and can record 8000 time stamped readings at a sampling frequency which is adjustable from 30 seconds to several hours.

Isatec has released the LogTag TREX-8 temperature recorder with external probe.

LogTags, a range of credit-card sized data loggers, are manufactured by LogTag Recorders.

The TREX-8 features a gold-plated connector to interface with a range of external probes for those applications where a remote probe is required.

External temperature probes come with either a 1.5 or 3m co-axial cable, either with or without a handle.

Handled versions incorporate a 105mm long 5mm OD 316 stainless probe.

Nonhandled versions incorporate a 140mm long, 5mm OD 316 probe.

All materials at the probe end of the cables are FDA food-rated, including the cable.

The TREX-8 has a measurement range of -40C to +99C and can record 8000 time stamped readings at a sampling frequency which is adjustable from 30 seconds to several hours.

A flashing LED gives an immediate indication that conditions have gone outside preset limits.

The stored data can be downloaded in a few seconds to a PC by sitting the LogTag in a USB-connected docking station and using the free LogTag Analyser software package.

Once the data has been collected the TREX-8 can be reset to use again.
