Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Dec 20, 2004

The IChemE reckons its new directory of short courses is an essential training guide for 2005.

The new IChemE Directory of Short Courses is an essential training guide for 2005.

It offers a comprehensive portfolio of courses delivered by professional trainers.

Regardless of location or time restriction the directory will enable students to achieve the right qualification through the most effective training environment.

In 2005 the revised programme will incorporate all the well-established courses and a number of exciting new packages.

Additional titles will include: chemistry for chemical engineers, environmental nuisance and hazardous area classification.

IChemE has also developed a portfolio of in-company training following the rise in demand in recent years.

IChemE can provide tailor-made training programmes and will be happy to discuss individual training requirements with interested companies.

Courses recently delivered include HAZOP study for team leaders and team members and process hazard assessment.

IChemE's range of online training programmes (e-learning) gives chemical engineers more flexibility to develop new skills.

E-learning allows users to choose when and where to study.

A wide range of courses is now available delivered straight to a PC, via the Internet.

IChemE Courses Co-ordinator, Rachel Robinson, explains: "IChemE provides a one-stop shop for training and learning, through its range of safety training packages, online learning, in company courses, technical books and journals".

"Whatever the training or learning needs, IChemE has the answer".
