A paper presented during the recent SAE World Congress in Detroit, focusing on powertrain simulation, has won an AEI Tech 2006 award.

At the recent SAE World Congress in Detroit, USA, the Editors of Automotive Engineering International (AEI) nominated ITI Dresden for an AEI Tech 2006 Award for its paper presented during the congress focusing on powertrain simulation The AEI Tech Award is given annually to selected top products and technologies

ITI-SIM - one of the two innovative simulation tools developed by ITI Dresden - was chosen as the best software tool for powertrain modelling.

The simulation environment of the software includes the physical domains required for vehicle and automotive engineering.

The collection of prebuilt and validated model objects for powertrain components includes items such as engines, clutches, gear stages and synchronisers.

ITI-SIM is an ideal engineering solution for the investigation and optimisation of complete powertrains.

The two software packages developed by ITI Dresden - SimulationX and ITI-SIM - are used worldwide for drive technology, fluid power and automotive engineering.

The tools have multidomain modelling features that include mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics and control systems in one simulation model.
