Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Feb 6, 2007

Seven seminars run by UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) in the South East region in March, will assist technology entrepreneurs seeking to move into overseas markets.

Technology entrepreneurs in and around the South East will have the chance to find out more about moving into overseas markets at seven seminars being run at locations across the region in March by UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) South East.

At each seminar there will be hot-spot sessions covering topics that often cause concern for both experienced and new exporters, including: securing payments, managing overseas partners, exhibiting effectively abroad, the crucial new customs regulations, and sales leads.

Alongside the seminars will be small exhibitions at which firms can meet a variety of organisations that can provide information and advice about how to best develop their business overseas.

The seminar dates and locations are: Thistle Hotel, Brands Hatch, near Dartford, Tuesday 6 March 2007; South Lodge Hotel, near Horsham, Wednesday 7 March 2007; Bletchley Park, Milton Keynes, Tuesday 13 March 2007; Kassam Stadium, Oxford, Wednesday 14 March 2007; Newbury Racecourse, Berkshire, Thursday 15 March 2007; The Rosebowl, Southampton, Wednesday 21 March 2007; and Mercedes-Benz World, Weybridge, Surrey, Thursday 22 March 2007.

Chris Innes, Executive Manager at UKTI says: "In so many cases, moving into an overseas market is essential for a technology-based firm's success".

"Our programme of seminars will help entrepreneurs throughout the South East find out how to take that next step".

"By working with our partner organisations we have ensured that a wide range of topics will be covered, so businesses of all shapes and sizes should be able to find out information that will help them grow." These seminars are just one of many events taking place as part of UKTI South East's International Month in March.
