Spaces are filling up fast at the seminars being run by UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) South East for local businesses who currently export and those thinking of starting to export.

The seminars are taking place at locations across the region and already some 140 firms have signed up to attend.

The seminar dates and locations are: Thistle Hotel, Brands Hatch, near Dartford, Tuesday 6 March 2007; South Lodge Hotel, near Horsham, Wednesday 7 March 2007; Bletchley Park, Milton Keynes, Tuesday 13 March 2007; Kassam Stadium, Oxford, Wednesday 14 March 2007; Newbury Racecourse, Berkshire, Thursday 15 March 2007; The Rosebowl, Southampton, Wednesday 21 March 2007; and Mercedes-Benz World, Weybridge, Surrey, Thursday 22 March 2007.

At each seminar there will be hotspot sessions covering topics that often cause concern for both experienced and new exporters, including: securing payments, managing overseas partners, exhibiting effectively abroad, the crucial new customs regulations, and sales leads.

And alongside the seminars there will be small exhibitions at which firms can meet organisations that can provide information and advice about how to best develop their business.

Chris Innes, Executive Manager at UKTI says: "In so many cases, moving into an overseas market is essential for a firm's successful expansion, so it is hardly surprising that spaces at the seminars are going fast".

"At the moment there are still spaces available, but any business that wants to take advantage of this opportunity should not delay in getting themselves booked in".
