A new low cost high quality non-contacting inductive position sensor from Ixthus Instrumentation needs no mechanism is required to couple the sensor to the moving part

A new low cost high quality non-contacting inductive position sensor is now available from Ixthus Instrumentation Limited.

Manufactured by Hampshire based Gill Instruments, it incorporates a patented unique and cost effective concept in position sensing.

This innovative product, sealed to IP67, is designed to operate accurately in tough environments within a temperature range of -40C to + 85C.

No moving parts are utilised in this device which senses the position of a steel 'activator' which is attached to, or is part of, the sensed assembly.

Activator movement can be linear, rotary, or angular.

It has unlimited duty cycle rating, can be pressure washed, and is simple to install.

Significant production savings can be obtained, as no mechanism is required to couple the sensor to the moving part.

This versatile product is ideal for applications such as control pedals, levers, actuators, vehicle transmission, etc.

to name but a few.
