Ixthus Instrumentation has a range of LVDT sensors for applications requiring reliable position measurement in hazardous locations.

Ixthus Instrumentation has a range of LVDT sensors for applications requiring reliable position measurement in hazardous locations with its PTI 750 series of loop-powered intrinsically safe LVDT position transmitters.

Economically priced and available from stock these products are Factory Mutual certified for use in Class 1, Division1, Group A, B, C, and D, and type 4 locations.

Offering a 4-20mA output, these units are ideal for valve positioning monitoring and other applications within power/gas plants, Manufacturing facilities and other process industries.

Significant features include: highly reliable "contactless" operation ideal for position feedback on critical equipment such as primary control valves and natural gas throttle valves; electronics are hermetically sealed against corrosive environments and adverse operating conditions such as vibration, shock and changing pressure levels; and the two-wire loop-powered configuration can be run through troughs or non explosion proof conduit back to "safe" areas where compatible barriers are located.

This innovative range can measure from 25.4 to 254mm with a nonlinearity of +/-0.5% for all models.

Devices operate from 10 to 30V DC inputs, with an operating temperature range of -20 to +93C.
