More intelligent analysis of plant data
IndustrialSQL Server 8.0 represents a significant addition and enhancement to Wonderware's solutions for the industrial intelligence market.
Web-enhanced portal accesses manufacturing data
SuiteVoyager 2.0 is a new software portal for the manufacturing automation industry.
The Industrial Application Server is the core distributed application development and supervisory software platform for Wonderware's FactorySuite A2 product line, which leverages ArchestrA technology.
It provides a unified environment for visualisation, plant history, device communications, and supervisory plant automation and information application integration.
"We are continuing to build on the promise of developing and marketing new technologies designed to widely integrate multiple platforms from every major vendor in the marketplace", said Mark Davidson, Global Vice President of Marketing for Invensys' Wonderware and ArchestrA business units.

Upgrade eases access to industrial intelligence
Version 8.0 of the Wonderware ActiveFactory suite of analysis clients gives managers, engineers and operators easy access to plant information in Wonderware's IndustrialSQL Server historian.
Plant intelligence rides the web
A new service pack for the SuiteVoyager 2.0 plant information portal allows viewing of real-time and historical information over the Internet and the delivery of plant intelligence.
"Sustainable integration and interoperability are the keys to the future of the industrial automation and information industry.
The Wonderware and ArchestrA business units plan to remain a step ahead of the pack in the development of products and services that allow customers to get more out of their legacy investments - including systems offered by other vendors".
Current GE Fanuc HMI systems can be easily integrated into the overall architecture of a comprehensive factory or plant project along with Wonderware's world-class InTouch HMI product.
Users can easily expand or migrate current applications using the latest Wonderware products and ArchestrA technology.
"Using this proxy object, users are able to create an object within the Industrial Application Server that can be deployed to represent an iFix or Fix 32 HMI machine", said Tim Black, Device Integration Product Manager for Invensys' Wonderware and ArchestrA business units.
"The software can be deployed on a machine with one of these legacy HMI products".
Underlying OPC technology allows for easy browsing and selection of items to be configured and monitored.
"Many times, customers request the ability to leverage Wonderware's cutting-edge software and groundbreaking ArchestrA technology, but they do not want to give up their current systems integration investments.
With the proxy object, they don't have to compromise or wait", Black said.
OPC technology was created to provide open interoperability, compatibility and connectivity between multiple systems and applications.
GE Fanuc and Invensys' Wonderware and ArchestrA business units have adapted this open connectivity and are very active in OPC committees.
Wonderware products are supplied and supported in the UK and Ireland by Pantek.
