Meter keeps running during two-phase flow
The new Foxboro CFT50 Coriolis mass flow transmitter features patented technology that allows Foxboro mass flow meters to continue operating during two-phase flow.
High stability for novel pH sensor
Foxboro has a new family of pH sensors designed to improve operation in traditional problem areas within harsh process applications.
This addresses the need to replace some 70% of the installed DCS system base for reasons of support, age, current needs or regulations.
It highlights Foxboro's capability in this strategically important area, and reinforces the company's ability to migrate existing legacy and competitive systems.
Foxboro has a unique capability to provide the simplest migration path, with no rewiring and minimal downtime, to a current and developing I/A Series base.

Automation system gains Foundation fieldbus option
Foxboro Automation Systems has released a new, redundant/fault-tolerant Foundation fieldbus module option for Invensys' flagship automation platform - the I/A Series system.
The migration material comprises information emphasising the unique Foxboro 'plug-in' approach to replacing an existing system with an I/A Series, DCS control system.
Also on display are migration I/O cards that graphically show how easy and simple an upgrade is.
These are superior to other 'cable' solutions that are destructive to the existing system.
The audio visual system on the truck runs a migration video, which graphically shows the process used to replace the cards into a live I/O rack on a competitor's system There are examples of Honeywell, Fisher and Bailey systems I/O cards included in the display, which demonstrate the quality of the hardware and the simplicity of a migration using this unique card replacement strategy.
The tour is creating a great deal of interest in the migration offering as it focuses on solutions that can optimise plant performance and protect investment on existing installations.
It provides an opportunity for customers to review the wide range of Invensys technologies and discuss the options with Invensys automation specialists.
Graham Jester, Sales Manager, for Invensys Foxboro in the UK and Nordic countries, comments: "The Euro-Tour Roadshow has proved to be a huge success, primarily because we have been visiting customer sites directly, minimising 'off the job' time for the engineers.
The presentations and demonstration on the truck have allowed our customers to gain valuable insight into emerging control technologies".
The Euro-Tour will be visiting, Spain, Italy, Germany and France over the coming months.
