An upgraded compact 0.5in digital progressive scan RGB colour machine vision camera features an improved digital interface as well as power and trigger LEDs on the rear panel.

JAI's CV-M71 compact 0.5in digital progressive scan RGB colour machine vision camera, an indirect replacement of the popular CV-M70, features all the attributes that made that model so successful, with the addition of an improved digital interface as well as power and trigger LEDs on the rear panel.

Based on the latest Bayer CCD, the CV-M71 features a Sony ICX415AQ imager with 782 x 582 8.3um-square pixels.

Measuring 40 x 50 x 80mm, the camera operates at 60frame/s at full resolution, and 250frame/s with 1/8 partial scan 24bit RGB output via a CameraLink base configuration.

User-selectable 8 or 10bit raw output via CameraLink makes host-based RGB decoding possible.

The camera is capable of a range of speeds, from 1/60 to 1/300,000 second.

Edge pre-select, pulsewidth, RCT trigger modes, programmable exposure, auto shutter and smear-less readout add to the CV-M71's impressive list of features.

Auto iris lens video output, auto shutter and AGC allow a wider light range.

Setup is by Windows NT/2000/XP software via RS232C or CameraLink.

The CV-M71 is especially well suited for colour inspection, especially in such fields as food and agriculture, and in printing-verification applications.

The CV-M71 is available now.

Volume pricing is available on request.
