O-ring guide provides simplified design
data

The newly published fifth edition of James Walker's O-ring guide provides simplified design data plus concise information on materials to facilitate part selection for specification and ordering.

The O-ring or toroidal seal is an exceptionally versatile sealing device Applications ranging from garden hose couplings to critical aerospace or refinery duties make it the world's most popular volume-produced seal

Engineers today are faced with a bewildering array of O-ring statistics and advice.

The newly published fifth edition of James Walker's O-ring guide provides simplified design data plus concise information on materials to facilitate part selection for specification and ordering.

This free guide covers precision moulded inch and metric O-rings to over 8000 standard and custom sizes including BS1806, SAE AS568A, BS4518, and the popular Chart 17000 inch sizes that James Walker originally developed for the Royal Navy.

Of particular value to engineers are the guide's updated sections on standard and high performance materials - including five explosive decompression (ED) resistant grades suitable for oilfield duties as well as general applications where a rapid drop in gas pressure could be experienced.

For the first time, the guide contains commercial grade O-rings for less critical duties.

These are now available to European, US and Japanese industry standards.

Another new addition is O-ring cord supplied by the metre in 25 cross sections and five materials.

James Walker currently stocks over seven million O-rings in standard sizes, ready for same day despatch, many of which are moulded in ED resistant materials.

Nonstocked products can be supplied within days, as the company's flexible production schedules enable it to meet the most urgent requests from industry worldwide. Request a free brochure from James Walker and Co ...
