John Tejada has joined Janos Technology as an Optical Designer.
Janos Technology, a global supplier of precision infra-red optical components, lenses, assemblies and custom designed solutions for commercial OEM, aerospace/military and astronomy/R and D markets, has a new Optical Designer, John Tejada.
Most recently, Tejada was Senior Optical Scientist at Insight Technology (Londonderry, New Hampshire) where he was responsible for designing, analysing and testing lightweight optical eyepieces for night vision applications.
He also led the design team from prototype to production of near-infra-red object lenses for a variety of military applications.
A veteran of the optical design industry, Tejada has worked at Raytheon Systems (Richardson, Texas), Texas Instruments (Dallas, Texas), Martin Marietta Corp (Orlando, Forida) and Hughes Aircraft (Tucson, Arizona) and more.

He adds: "John's vast experience in IR optical design and his ability to formulate real world solutions enhances our capability to deliver customised, precision infrared optical components and assemblies to our prime military contractors and our commercial OEM customers".

Tejada received his bachelor of sciences in electrical engineering from the University of South Florida (Tampa, Forida) in 1983 and a master of sciences in optical sciences from the University of Arizona (Tucson, Arizona) in 1986.
He holds five US Patents for his work on IR optics and optical alignment and has several more pending.
