Clutches offer mechanical and hydraulic options

A JBJ Techniques product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Jan 8, 2007

Mechanically and hydraulically actuated overcentre clutches are available from JBJ in two mounting styles.

Mechanically and hydraulically actuated overcentre clutches are available from JBJ in two mounting styles: the BD series for close coupling with diesel engines with SAE style flywheel facility; and the BDS for independent inline arrangements, capable of accepting high radial loads and transmitting powers up to 850kW as standard.

Versions are also available to close couple hydraulic pumps to the clutch output shaft.

JBJ RM gearboxes are specifically designed for close coupling to industrial diesel engines and are available in either speed increasing or speed reducing format.

Gearboxes can be supplied with output shaft either same or opposite rotation to input shaft.

Input to the gearbox can be made either by rigid/flexible coupling or via a BD series clutch.

The RM-BDS series devices are designed as free standing versions with input via a BDS series clutch.

JBJ AM splitter gearboxes are available in a number of mounting formats with various increasing and decreasing ratios.

Maximum input torques up to 5600Nm can be accepted as standard, and higher powers can be accommodated by the use of oil cooling.

All units can be supplied with either hydraulically or mechanically actuated clutch units.

JBJ can also offer specialist design and manufacture for units outside the standard range.

JBJ offers a complete selection of planetary gearboxes which include rotating shaft, rotating case, inline and right-angle output.

They can be supplied with inputs and outputs to suit customers application.

The flexible design offers a wide range of ratios and units can transmit maximum torques in excess of 1MNm.

High power versions are available for multiple motor inputs.

Multiple speed versions from same input allow speed changes during operation.

All gearing is designed to DIN3990 or latest AGMA standards.
