Wireless data loggers are easy to install, ready to use data sensing systems, with data logging capability, accurate measuring and secure transmission of logged parameters.

JDL is adding the Wisensys wireless range to its portfolio of data loggers.

They are easy to install, ready to use data sensing systems, with data logging capability, accurate measuring and secure transmission of logged parameters.

The sensor units can each store up to 10,000 measurements in nonvolatile memory at user programmable intervals.

This storage is used if the PC connection to the basestation is not available.

Trip values can be set in each sensor for monitoring alarm conditions.

Powered batteries have an average lifetime of three years. The maximum number of sensors per system is 100, with no connecting wires.

For difficult locations where free line of sight may be obstructed, there are optional repeater stations.

The maximum number of repeaters is nine.

The basestation receives sensed data from all sensors without any connecting wires and automatically transfers the stored values to a PC.

If connected, the basestation stores the measurement values and is connected to the PC via an RS232 interface cable.

This storage can be used for logging values when a PC is not connected.

A switched relay can be made available for, for example, connecting an external alarm indication to the basestation.

There are no connecting wires between up to 100 remote sensors.

On installation, the network control program supplied with the basestation software package is used to install the system.

Friendly names can then be assigned to each sensor.

Measurement and transmission intervals can be specified and trip values set.

These values can be changed later.

The distance between the basestation and the sensors determines this; if the distance has to be larger than the specified range, a repeater between sensor and basestation can be used.
