A novel four-point-contact ball bearing offers design and performance benefits wherever space and weight savings are key concerns and both radial and bidirectional axial loads are found.

A four-point-contact ball bearing from the Swiss Jesa group offers design and performance benefits wherever space and weight savings are key concerns and both radial and bidirectional axial loads must be accommodated The bearings make use of "Gothic arch" construction to provide two "ball tracks" in a single raceway

The design combines the benefits of radial and angular contact bearings and may also reduce the number of bearings required in an assembly.

The four-point technology allows for a reduction in the axial space envelope and cuts the axial play associated with single row bearings by some 80%.

It also eliminates noise in instant reverse axial load applications.

This raceway design can be used in conjunction with a full ball complement or caged construction.

It can use special seals or shields, application specific grease or oil and even be integrated into the wider assembly.

Standard and special sizes are produced, some with bespoke profiles that are readily available, cost effectively with competitive lead times.
