Jetcam International has announced the release of its new 3D modelling and unfolding system - Jetcam 3D Expert.
New version of modelling and unfolding software
Jetcam International will be showing a new version of 3D Expert, its modelling and unfolding software, at Fabtech 2001, taking place November 11-14 in Chicago
The latest development push has concentrated on dramatic laser and profiling support improvements where users in particular will benefit greatly from the new capabilities being released with Jetcam Expert v14.
A variety of improved and new functions will be included, dramatically increasing programming automation while reducing both machine run time and material utilization - the two major cost factors in production.
As usual with Jetcam Expert releases, full file compatibility with all previous versions is maintained.
Another change is the inclusion of an additional user interface, or scheme.
Jetcam Expert has for some time benefited from a 'skinable' user interface, allowing the user to select their preferred menu style and look.
The new scheme has again been developed with the programmer in mind, placing function buttons strategically around the screen in such a way as to enhance ease of learning and use and speed of operation.
Said Ivan Stern, Jetcam CEO, "Aside from the new functionality improvements, something that we not be immediately obvious to the user is that a large part of the core code within Jetcam Expert v14 has been remodelled to make future development a much easier task.
We've taken a more modular approach which means that we will be able to plug in small 'applets' with minimal development time.
This will enable us to broaden the product's range into new manufacturing areas, as well as to rapidly enhance the product for our existing customer base".
Jetcam Expert v14 is available as a free update to all existing users with a current maintenance contract.
Alternatively, it can be purchased through Jetcam's worldwide reseller network.
Authorised users can download the latest version from the Jetcam website.
