Low cost, in-line crude oil sampling for
China
Jiskoot has designed a low-cost system for the China National Offshore Oil Company for in-line crude oil sampling at the Bohai Corporation's Tung-Ku oilfield's tanker loading facility
Faced with a small budget available from the China National Offshore Oil Company for in-line crude oil sampling at the Bohai Corporation's Tung-Ku oilfield's tanker loading facility, Jiskoot designed a low-cost system comprising four samplers While meeting the strict fiscal requirements, and hazardous area certification to Zone 1 IIB T4, the systems also complied with the required international export standards

Three-term PID controller provides a cost-effective yet powerful and flexible solution for two-stream controlled rate or "wildstream" blending and analyser trim applications.
Each system is controlled by a Jiskoot SC9 sample controller, a low-cost, hazardous area, flow proportional device with a large easy-to-read 6-digit LCD.
Each SC9 controls the sampling system in accordance with the API 6.2 international sampling standard.
Each sampling system comprised a Jiskoot 710 low-cost pneumatic sample probe in a heated GRP housing, a heated GRP sample receiver cabinet housing two lightweight PR53 sample receivers and automatic can-changeable valve.
The can-change automatically changes to a new sample receiver when the first is full minimising operator intervention.
The 710 probe was designed to reduce costs and be simpler to maintain than previous units.
It is lighter and has a lower seal count, while still offering rigidity, leak resistance and high sampling rates.
A 'unique' capture mechanism allows the unit to be installed through a 2in or 3in pipeline stub.
