A multi-point profile sampling probe, unique in that it can be withdrawn from the line under process conditions, has been developed by Jiskoot for a customer in Nigeria.

The probe withdraws samples from six points across the cross-section of a pipeline and is used to measure and prove the natural mixing provided by an upstream metering system.

On-line withdrawal is accomplished using a Jiskoot HE1B Hydraulic Extractor.

The first six-point profile probe has been shipped from Jiskoot's UK factory, with an accompanying sampling system including a PR103 35-litre sample receiver having external level indication and featuring automatic receiver changeover using a level switch.

This combination provides a lower cost solution for customers wanting automatic receiver changeover but not requiring the compliance to ISO 3171 provided by the combination of a Jiskoot Can-Weigh system and InSight controller.
