Jiskoot sampling probes have been chosen for sampling systems at 36 Conpet pipeline distribution sites throughout Romania to increase the accuracy, repeatability and reliability of crude oil sampling.

Other factors in the specification of 29 Jiskoot Model 710 probes and 7 Model 210 probes were the ability to operate at low ambient temperatures down to -32C and the availability of electric operation to enable the samplers to be deployed in remote pipeline sites having no plant air.

Jiskoot was also able to provide local first-line support through it agent Arcon.

The complete systems are being manufactured by the French company Bristol MECI, and are being used to replace spot or tank sampling.

These samplers use positive displacement to take a large number of extremely repeatable 'sample grabs' that are unaffected by any changes in pressure or viscosity to accurately represent the average quality of the flowing fluid.

The samples will be stored in constant pressure receivers to ensure that the refined products are kept at contamination-free process conditions, with no loss of 'light ends', for quick and easy subsequent analysis.
