The Jiskoot Autocontrol SC9 sample controller is at the heart of systems specified for a Brazilian offshore floating production and storage vessel where guaranteed sampling stability and integrity was demanded even in heavy seas.

Selected for its extensive experience in FPSO sampling and quality measurement installations, Jiskoot designed the system to include Model 210 probes mounted in antistatic IP65 top boxes to counter the production vessel's static risk and PR53 sample receivers fitted into a cage to prevent movement during storms.

The project was handled through local company Fluxo.

The Jiskoot SC9 low-cost flow proportional safe-area sample controller is designed for control and monitoring of an inline insertion probe sampling system in accordance with the API 6.2 sampling standards.

Ensuring that a sample is representative of the entire batch, it uses either 4-20mA analogue or pulse flow meter inputs in conjunction with the batch volume entered by the operator and the desired volume to determine the sample actuation frequency.

Typical uses are pipeline and terminal duty for tanker loading/discharge and other custody transfer applications for liquid and gaseous hydrocarbons.
