An inline sampling system supplied to Shell Sarawak for Phase 2 of the B11 project is providing the accuracy crucial for ensuring correct allocation of condensate value in a shared pipeline.

A Jiskoot inline sampling system using a unique 210 sample extractor supplied to Shell Sarawak for Phase 2 of the B11 project is providing the accuracy crucial for ensuring correct allocation of condensate value and the avoidance of disputes in a shared pipeline The high-pressure sampling system needed to withstand hostile process fluids, and Jiskoot's ability to manufacture the sampler from the exotic specialist materials required was an important factor

Incoloy 825 was used for the 210 sampler extractor's wetted parts, Hasteloy C276 for the process instrumentation and titanium for the sample receivers.

The system, which will be installed in Malaysia, was certified to BS EN10204 for use in a Zone 1 IIA T3 hazardous area and fully conforms to the ISO3171 international sampling standard.

The exceptional accuracy and reliability of the Jiskoot 210 probe is largely due to a unique three-stage positive displacement action that gives accurate sampling irrespective of variations in pressure or fluid viscosity, crucial in any custody transfer application.

Complete user satisfaction with this system has led to Shell Sarawak placing a second order for a Jiskoot high-pressure gas sampling system with auto-changeover dual receivers plus single-receiver spare system subsequently being selected for the same project's gas allocation metering system.

Using a retractable gas probe that can be taken out of line under process conditions and a G5 gas sampler, this second system was also constructed using the exotic materials Incoloy 825, Hasteloy C and titanium.
