Maatscap Europort Terminal has added two new Jiskoot Co-Jetix sampling systems to the existing Jiskoot samplers fitted to other lines at the MET Rotterdam import/export terminal.
To achieve higher accuracy of sampling over a wide range of crude oils, Maatscap Europort Terminal has added two new Jiskoot Co-Jetix sampling systems to the existing Jiskoot samplers fitted to other lines at the MET Rotterdam import/export terminal.
The new Co-Jetix combined JetMix and Fast Loop crude oil sampling systems comprise and InSight controller, 710EL Cell sampler, PR53 sample receivers and Can Weigh.
It is also fitted with densitometers and provision for online water-in-oil monitoring (WIOM).
Meeting the need for PED compliance plus 3.16 Material and Hazardous Area Certification, the system was additionally required to integrate into a large existing Scada system, enabling MET to monitor density on import/export lines.
A critical factor in the selection of the systems was the fact that they will be supplied with a guarantee that they conform to all clauses of the internationally accepted sampling standard of ISO 3171.
The unique system design features a 1in 'bypass' sampling loop which ensures that pipeline mixing is maintained to the point of sample extraction.
This has an added benefit in that flow through the densitometer will be representative guaranteeing accuracy.
Accuracy is further enhanced by the sample repeatability provided by 710EL sample extractor's positive displacement sample action and the absence of water retention voids in the body.
By taking an extremely high number of grabs per minute, it ensures that a fully representative sample can be extracted from very small production batches.
The ability of the Jiskoot 710EL electric flow-through cell sampler to operate in locations with no plant air was a further factor in the selection of the system.
