Mixer ensures representative sampling

A Jiskoot product story

A novel condensate sampling system for the Clipper Platform uses a static mixer immediately upstream of the sample pumps, ensuring suitable mixing at the extraction points.

A Jiskoot condensate sampling system designed for SLP to establish the composition of pipeline contents on the Clipper Platform uses a static mixer immediately upstream of the sample pumps, ensuring suitable mixing at the extraction points to make the samples representative of the whole pipeline cross-section when the grab is taken.

The system extracts, isolates and stores multiple 1cm3 samples of condensate from the process pipeline.

Two simultaneous samples can be taken using the system's two cell sampler pumps, which are mounted directly into the bypass loop that passes through the cabinet.

Each sample is piped to a dedicated constant pressure sample receiver, where the collected samples are stored and maintained at line pressure.

The receivers incorporate magnetic level and proximity sensors.

The system was mounted in a GRP enclosure complete with Ex heating and lighting.

The static mixer could be used because flow turndown is low.
