Two Jiskoot 710 EL electrical sampling systems were selected by Arcon Romania for sampling gasoline at 42bar and diesel fuel at 26bar at the Rompetrol onshore terminal, due to the uncertain availability of instrument air.

Each system comprised a 710 electrically actuated sampler probe, a receiver cabinet with heater and thermostat and two PR-53F sample receivers.

The electrical equipment was certified for use in a Hazardous Area Classification, suitable for use in a Zone 1, IIA, T3.

The inline sampler probes with 319 stainless steel wetted parts were designed for insertion into the process line through a 2in ANSI 300lb RF flange.

They extract up to 70 grabs of 1cm3/min depending on line pressure and fluid viscosity.

The 304 stainless steel low-pressure sample receivers were fitted with an internal float/magnet enabling remote indication of being full and quick-release inlet/outlet couplings allowing connection to a Jiskoot type MS-53 laboratory mixer.

Emergency stop/start controls stations were supplied.

Documentation included certificates of compliance/conformity, guarantee and quality plus two data dossiers.
