Sample probe tests 100C oil

A Jiskoot product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Sep 24, 2007

Ten Jiskoot 210 in-line sample probe-based systems were purchased to monitor the quality of oil at a temperature of over 100C.

Ten Jiskoot 210 in-line sample probe-based systems have been purchased by a major Japanese oil refiner to ensure reliability and accuracy in customer quality assurance monitoring of its fuel oil exports in a demandingly high-temperature application.

With delivery temperatures significantly exceeding 100C, reliable operation that complies with API 8.2 is beyond the capabilities of most sampling devices.

The 210 sample probe was selected along with Jiskoot's high-temperature application option to safely withstand the difficult process conditions without compromising the sampler's operation.

The complete Jiskoot system solution providing year-round weather protection included sample receivers in heated enclosures and CanWeigh systems giving dynamic receiver level feedback to dedicated Jiskoot sample controllers.

These are being interfaced to the site's distributed control system for overall sampler control, performance and monitoring.

Jiskoot is represented in Japan by Moritani.
