Blenders cut bunker fuel costs by USD10 a tonne

A Jiskoot product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Jan 29, 2010

Jiskoot's automated in-line blending systems with dynamic viscosity control reduce the cost of supplying bunker fuels by USD10 per tonne and improve product quality.

Giving fuel suppliers the flexibility to blend 'on demand' a range of high-quality bunker fuels to within one per cent of the ISO 8217 viscosity specification, the system's cost savings are achieved through enhanced measurement and control to reduce distillate 'giveaway'.

The blenders can be configured to simultaneously measure or calculate quality parameters such as density and sulphur content, enabling suppliers to guarantee product quality and compliance with Marpol.

Units may be supplied deck, skid, trailer or container mounted.

Custom-designed to optimise business profitability, these Jiskoot blenders are simple to install and operate.

Their cost is normally recovered in as little as six months.
