Within the framework of its development of the American market JLMD has started administrative procedures with the classification society American Bureau of Shipping (ABS).
Within the framework of its development of the American market, and particularly to satisfy tanker/barge owners and operators, JLMD has started administrative procedures with the classification society American Bureau of Shipping (ABS).
The first step is a Product Design Assessment (PDA) to formalise the fact that the connectors comply with the applicable rules.
It will be followed by a Type Approval process.
Following this approval, USA maritime authorities, represented by the US Coast Guard, might consider the recommendation of FOR systems (Fast Oil Recovery) for merchant ships sailing in their waters.
