The Oilmiser sampling tube combines a novel three-piece design and large bore stainless steel sample tube to handle the heaviest of gear oils.

Oil sampling, oil analysis and offline filtration are generally recognised as the underpinnings of reliability-centred maintenance for lubricated machinery Most manufacturers of industrial gearboxes specify oil cleanliness levels in their warranty, yet few make provisions or recommendations for oil sampling

For true kidney-loop filtration to be effective, there are three prerequisites: first, a breather to vent the enclosed air space; secondly, a return oil inlet on the top or side; and thirdly an oil outlet from the bottom sump.

Oilmiser gearbox breathers and accessories satisfy all three requirements.

All Oilmiser gearbox breathers have two separate internal passages: a vertical airway is for venting the enclosed air space and a dedicated passage for return oil at 90 degrees.

This satisfies the first two prerequisites described above, and the Oilmiser gearbox service point satisfies the third.

This mounts directly into the drain port on a gearbox, and connects to the suction side of the kidney-loop filtration unit.

In addition, the Oilmiser sampling tube combines a novel three-piece design and large bore stainless steel sample tube to handle the heaviest of gear oils.

With numerous mounting configurations, and options, the safety and convenience of the service technician can now determine the best location for oil sampling.
