Tolerance analysis consultancy Elite Consulting is offering a free demonstration of statistical tolerance analysis software to companies with tolerance-related issues or a 6-Sigma quality programme.
Ray Ellender, managing director of Elite Consulting, said: 'Anyone wanting to purchase Sigmetrix Cetol 6-Sigma statistical tolerance analysis software was restricted to a high-end 3D package for Pro/Engineer or CATIA 'That has all changed with the introduction of the latest software.
'The Tolerance Analysis Extension for Pro/Engineer can be used for one-dimensional statistical analysis that is available for Wildfire 4.0.
'Cetol 6-Sigma can now produce accurate answers using native Pro/Engineer Wildfire geometry.
'It helps improve product quality and gain design insight by understanding the true, derived relationship between critical product requirements and design input variables.' Sigmetrix has also released two new versions of Cetol - v8.0 for Solidworks and v8.1 for Pro/Engineer.
With v8.0, Cetol works directly on the Solidworks model in 3D to calculate either a worse case or a statistical tolerance stack-up.
This software enables design engineers to match tolerances to manufacturing capability and predict yields at the design stage.
Cetol v8.1 for Pro/Engineer has a number of enhancements including the ability to animate the effects of tolerance changes.
It can provide flush and gap measurements and includes a model advisor to help the modeling process.
As well as selling Cetol 6-Sigma, Elite will undertake analysis for companies that do not wish to purchase their own copy of the software.
