Over 500 pages give contract and permanent staff an in-depth analysis of the computing jobs market in the UK.
Thousands of graphs and tables allow computer staff to find out the range of pay being offered for their skills in various parts of the country and how pay rates have changed in those areas over the last 12 months.
The site supplies additional information on where jobs are located, the pay rates being offered, the top recruiting agencies involved and the agents operating in the computer industry.
There are also pages explaining how to interpret the information given and how to make the best use of the site.
The JobStats web site enables computer staff to find out what their current skills are potentially worth and what skills employers are seeking.
It allows employers to assess the likely cost of engaging new staff and gives agencies and agents background information on the market that they are serving.
Also, careers advisers can get the facts about the skills that are available and the associated pay rates.
The site is refreshed once a week and the data is obtained by analysing the text of published advertisements and stripping out the information about skills, locations and pay rates.
Nick Wells, founder of the JobStats web site, started producing the basic information several years ago for his own interest and soon found that friends and colleagues wanted to access this information for their own interest.
Some time later he founded the web site to enable easier and wider access to the information and has enhanced the entries for easier interpretation.
The method of updating has also been developed to enable quick and easy site maintenance.
JobStats is currently privately funded but shortly the web site will incorporate banner advertising and sponsorship packages.
