Safety PLC module handles more I/Os

A Jokab Safety UK product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Nov 8, 2006

The Pluto B46-6 module has been developed from the need for a compact safety PLC module with more I/Os.

Jokab Safety has released a new double sized module (90mm width) for the Pluto safety PLC system.

The Pluto B46-6 module has been developed from the need for a compact safety PLC module with more I/Os.

It is available either with bus connection (B46-6) or as a stand-alone unit (S46-6).

Both versions have 46 I/Os of which six are individual safe outputs.

16 I/Os can be used either as inputs or outputs and 24 I/Os are inputs for safety devices or other devices.

The Pluto Manager software is based on ladder programming, which makes Pluto practical to use for both safety monitoring and for the control of smaller machines and compatible for both B46 and A20 series.

The Pluto Manager Software is available free of charge, and Jokab Safety UK runs 1-day workshops to enable engineers to become familiar with safety PLCs.

An HMI can be connected directly to the serial interface on the front of the Pluto module or to the safety CANbus to allow users to identify if the safety devices in the field have been activated.
