Jokab Safety has further developed the ergonomic Safeball with an AS-i node connection, facilitating installation in AS-i bus systems.

The installation only needs two wires to be connected to the Safeball to be used either as a one-hand control device or with a combination of two Safeballs connected to the AS-i cable as a two-hand station.

The round design of the Safeball makes it suitable for all types of hands and it can be gripped in a number of ways.

It is required by some companies as the only allowed two-hand control device for ergonomical reasons for personnel.

Safeball is a ball with two pushbuttons - one on each side.

By having two pushbuttons for each hand placed on both sides of the ball, the solution for unintentional activation is ready and ergonomic.

In order to start a machine, both pushbuttons in each hand have to be pushed.

On a two-hand control device, both Safeballs - all four pushbuttons - have to be activated within 0.5 seconds.

The mounting of the Safeball is also flexible, which makes it possible for it to be mounted in the best ergonomic position for the operator.

The JSTD1 Safeball is certified by Inspecta in Sweden as a two-hand control device (JSTD1x2) according to the highest safety level in the EN 574 standard (type IIIc).
