Sales of Jorin's Vipa particle monitoring equipment to the Middle East have increased ninefold so far this year.
The sales figures have been boosted by the supply to Oman of turnkey installations, featuring fully automated sample control and on-line washing and including everything from the sample point through to the sample drain tie-in.
Nick Roth, Jorin's Technical Director, explained: "Supplying turnkey instrument packages is reducing the engineering demand placed on our clients and has decreased the time required for on-site for commissioning and start-up operations".
Developed in the UK by Jorin, the Vipa is an online monitor that can continuously analyse the content of oil, solids and condensates in process water at working temperatures and pressures.
The units provide continuous information on the type, size and concentration of all the substances present.
By measuring up to 17 particle parameters, Vipa units can categorise particles by their size and shape.
Solid particles have a very different shape from liquid droplets, for example, and the units use this difference to provide comprehensive data on up to eight types of particles.
The units are used particularly in the upstream oil and gas sector, as well as in other process engineering fields where water needs to be continuously monitored.
