PHT launches Microtite titanium connectors

A Precision Hermetic Technology product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Jul 29, 2009

Precision Hermetic Technology (PHT) has launched the PHT Microtite series of titanium interconnect products with glass-to-metal hermetic seal reliability.

The PHT Microtite series is ideally suited for accelerometer applications, the company said.

The connector is a smaller-than-standard industry mini-type product, and is also lower in cost compared with ceramic-sealed versions.

Featuring a hermetic interface, this series of connectors incorporates 0.51mm tin-plated contacts, in a 4.9 x 5.8mm package with M4.5 thread, and is available as a plug and receptacle mated pair.

Insulation resistance is greater than 1,000megohms, with dielectric withstanding voltage of 1,000VDC at a leak rate of 1 x 10-9 cc/sec helium at a pressure differential of 1 atmosphere.

The operating temperature range is -180C to +1,770C.
