Jetmove 400 provides maximum motion dynamics

A Jetter product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Mar 20, 2009

Jetter has introduced the Jetmove 400 for when precise axis movements and dynamic applications are needed at the same time.

Together with a fast Ethernet real-time bus, they guarantee high-precision coupling of several axes.

The Jetmove 400 runs with a controller cycle of 100kHz.

This results in maximum path accuracy of the drives.

External interference is compensated for directly and mechanical vibration is actively damped.

Additional complex control algorithms to compensate for interference are no longer necessary.

The result is a high level of precision and dynamics combined with a robust drive.

To enable controlling in the 100 kHz range, the corresponding signals such as the current value or position value are processed with an even higher cycle.

The signals are evaluated by an FPGA.

This enables a high level of speed and accuracy.

Axes limited by running noises become much smoother and can be controlled at a higher speed and rigidity.

But stationary precision is also a decisive criterion for controllers.

Up to 32 axes can be coupled to the Ethernet realtime bus.

A synchronisation cycle of 10kHz and a maximum jitter of less than 100ns means axes involved in a co-ordinated motion synchronise with one another extremely quickly and precisely.

Axes with a controller from the Jetmove 400 series can be used in the following applications: machine tools, printing machines, pick-and-place robots, medical technology, laser machining, high-precision test and measuring instruments and in dynamic applications from the semiconductor sector, such as wire bonders or wafer-handling machines.
