Newly available from Jumo Instruments are the di08 and di32, the first in a major new series of digital panel meters designed especially for users needing accurate, reliable monitoring of process values and a large, clear display The di08 and di32 digital panel meters can be used anywhere in the process industry - for food processing, chemical, pharmaceutical or general process applications, as well as in brewing

They combine ease of operation and a high level of accuracy - up to 20% better than competitive models.

They have a structured system of programming and operation that is extremely easy to use, and they offer advanced functions such as a level lock and minimum/maximum/hold control of important process values.

The units also have input linearisation, which permits correction of the measured signal for improved accuracy.

Measuring 96 x 48mm (the di08) or 48 x 24mm (the di32), they have enhanced protection on the front panel to IP66 standard, so are ideally suited to use in damp environments.

Both units are fully configurable from the front panel.

They each feature a universal process input as well as a relay output (230V 3Amp).

The di32 allows the use of an extra logic input, or of the process input and both outputs.

The di08 supports use of both a process input and a logic input and three outputs.

The signal input is freely configurable, allowing measurement signals from thermocouples, resistance thermometers, standard current/voltage signals or resistance transmitters to be shown on the large, red LED display (20mm high in the case of the di08, and 10mm high on the di32).

Programmable set limits are monitored and any deviation is indicated via the two relay outputs.

Depending on the application, the drop-out or pull- in delay time can be configured separately for each relay.

A special benefit is the ability to delay the operation of the units on power-up.

This ensures that process values are only displayed once the sensors or process have settled down after being switched on (which can sometimes take two or three seconds).

It is also possible to program the units to react in the case of probe or cable breakage, raising an alarm.
