Thermostat and temperature sensor come together

A Jumo Instrument Company product story

Bimetal thermostats can now be specified with a temperature sensor, such as a Pt100, Pt1000 or NTC sensor, or a thermocouple, in the same fitting.

Bimetal thermostats from Jumo Instrument Co are used extensively in compressor, motor manufacture, and hydraulic installations across Europe.

With new developments it is now possible to build a temperature sensor, such as a Pt100, Pt1000 or NTC sensor, or a thermocouple, into the same fitting in addition to the bimetal thermostat.

In this way, two functions can be performed by one measurement point, and the compact design of the device increases its versatility in application.

The extra transducer makes it possible to control a display, controller or recorder.

The elimination of a second measurement point can substantially reduce installation expenditure.

The mechanical bimetal thermostat monitors the temperature with either a make or a break function and a contact rating of 10A/230V.

The fixed switching point is selected between 40 and 140C, in 5C steps.

The fitting is made from brass or stainless steel, and achieves IP67 enclosure protection, thus enabling application in severe environmental conditions.

Flexible customised solutions can be provided.
