Oil-free compressors run at just 55dBA
The OF300 series compressors offer oil-free operation, which ensures optimum air quality, while an operating noise level of only 55dB(A) places the product in the forefront of the market
Both services rely on dry, bacteria-free compressed air - the dental surgeries to provide suction for the patients and drive hand pieces, and the optical laboratories to provide power for the specialised equipment used in producing and polishing high quality spectacle lenses.
An Optical Express spokesperson said: "While some dental practices view a new compressor as an unnecessary expense, we believe that using outdated or poorly maintained equipment is a health risk to patients and staff".
A contaminated air supply can impair the performance of tools that run at speeds up to 450,000rev/min as debris quickly clogs turbines and can cause them to burn out.
The Optical Express spokesperson said: "Specifying clean dry air ensures that expensive dental hand pieces don't suffer the excessive wear caused by air contaminated with dirt and moisture".
The compressors supplied by Jun-Air are equipped with a dryer to eliminate moisture, are rated for continuous duty and are virtually maintenance-free, making them suitable for single and multiple surgeries.
Noise levels are down to 47dB(A) in the optional soundproof cabinets.
This means that compressors can be located inside the dental surgeries and the laboratories.
