Threaded stem and tapped type self-lubricating rod end bearings are now available in metric sizes from JW Winco.
Rod end bearings are used in controlling and linking mechanisms in all types of machines.
They are suitable for high-load, low-speed applications with hanging angles, or that require linear, rotational or oscillatory motions.
The rod end body is made of zinc-plated steel, while the ball socket is made of bearing steel, 100 Cr6, hardened and ground.
The external ring is made of a special bronze material which makes these rod ends self-lubricating and maintenance-free, and affords them the lowest possible friction.
Additionally, these joints offer a longer life expectancy than rod ends with a PTFE surface, due to less increase of clearance after long operating hours.
Operating temperature is rated at -30 to +150C.
