KAC's new World Series conventional multi-criteria smoke and thermal detector combines an optical chamber, designed to be extremely tolerant to the long-term build-up of dust, with a thermal element in one low profile housing.

Responding to either smoke or heat, a powerful embedded microprocessor running sophisticated algorithms provides a very fast response to 'real fire' situations, while the combination of photoelectric and thermal characteristics reduces the risk of unwanted environmentally generated alarms.

The World Series offers features normally only found in top of the range analogue detectors; it also gives both installers and end users the ease of use and cost effectiveness of a conventional unit.

The detectors operate at both 12 and 24VDC, making them suitable for both security and fire systems and they meet the requirements of the latest EN54 2000 Standards.

A unique laser hand held remote test unit enables the detector to be tested from ground level, saving considerable time during commissioning or maintenance.
