Operating from either 24VDC or 240VAC, the units retain doors in the open position unless the power is removed from the unit by the fire control panel.

A spring release ejector mechanism ensures that the magnetic force is overcome and the door closed; a local manual override is fitted.

The DC versions draw 25mA for the 200 Newton (20kg) holding force version and 45mA for the 500 Newton unit; the 500 Newton mains-powered unit draws 7mA.

The DC door closers can be powered either from the control panel or from a local PSU.

As with all KAC products, ex-stock delivery is standard and the units can be customised for specific customers or installations if required.

High volume manufacturing has enabled the units to be extremely competitive without compromising on quality; prices are typically some ?3 or ?4 less than alternatives on the market.
