The new Pull Station from KAC affirms the company's position as the world's leading supplier of manual activation devices for fire alarm systems.
The Pull Station product range is specifically designed for the North American market, the product requirements of which differ significantly from the traditional European break glass call point.
The range spans every product variation that could be identified during an exhaustive review of the market requirements.
Ranging from simple single action devices to high-end waterproof addressable products, the initial product offering includes 18 variations.
The units can be mounted directly to a single gang electrical box or to an optional surface mount box.
Actuation is either by a single pull or by a dual push-then-pull action.
Once activated, the unit remains in the activated position until it is manually reset by authorised personnel using the supplied tool.
The products are approved by UL (Underwriters Laboratories) in the USA, passing the requirements of UL38 at the first time of asking.
The time to market for development of the range, from initial concept through to approval, was just over one year.
KAC has developed this family to open up new market opportunities for both themselves and their customers.
OEM customers will now be able to source a truly global range of devices from one supplier; export customers, whose markets are traditionally UL orientated, now also have further sales opportunities from the KAC range.
