Aspheric lenses offer a powerful single element solution for collimating or focusing light to a diffraction-limited spot without introducing aberrations.

Kaleido Technology offers precision-moulded glass aspheres in a variety of geometries and glass types.

Proprietary state-of-the-art free form machining equipment has provided Kaleido Technology with world-leading freedom in generating lens geometries without sacrificing the cost-effectiveness of precision-moulding technology.

Precision glass lenses including spherical, aspherical, cylindrical, aspheric cylindrical, and free-form (nonsymmetric) geometries can be designed in prototype quantities, small batches or volume manufacturing runs.

Lenses may be plano-convex, plano-concave, biconvex, biconcave, or convex-concave.

Kaleido Technology moulded aspheric lenses are produced using a unique precision-moulding technology.

This technology not only produces superior quality, long-life moulded lenses; it also provides Kaleido with the flexibility to select from the widest range of optical glasses to choose the material best suited to the application.

Typical surface quality tolerances achieved with Kaleido moulded aspheric lenses are surface roughness of less than 5nm, form error of less than 1 fringe and axial alignment of less than 3arc-min.
