The co-location of the Drives and Controls 06 exhibition with other major manufacturing shows was believed by many to be a contributory factor to their increased visitor numbers
The Climate Change Levy will have been enacted for a full year by the time the show opens and the effects of the increase in energy costs has awakened industry to the issue of electricity consumption.
To help visitors locate exhibitors with products, services or equipment that assists in meeting Energy Efficiency Best Practice standards, the show organisers have put emphasis on this issue with colour coded stands as an option open to exhibitors.
The exhibition initiative has been endorsed by Future Energy Solutions (formerly ETSU) - the organisation charged by the Government's Department of the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) with furthering awareness of energy efficiency.
Future Energy Solutions will exhibit at the show and answer questions from visitors about achieving Energy Efficiency Best Practice and also about the Enhanced Capital Allowance (ECA) scheme which assists industry with the costs of energy efficient installations for fans, pumps and compressors.
Major manufacturers and suppliers will display the latest in motors, gearboxes, variable speed drives, bus technology, sensors and systems, interfaces and all manner of automation equipment.
Co-located with the show are Hydraulics and Pneumatics 2002 and Power Electronics 2002.
These complimentary exhibitions are each in their second year and promise to deliver a cross section of new developments from some significant manufacturers and distributors.
In the case of Power Electronics in particular, there will be exhibitors and visitors from all over Europe.
The Exhibitions will be held in the new halls 20 and 19 which are the latest and best equipped of the NEC's facilities. Request free introductory details about products from DFA Media ...
